Journey with Friends – FINISH
Oh my friends – the overwhelming support that you have all shown me this past week has been so totally awesome! I have been blown away by the suggestions, the wonderful comments and the encouragement. I just know I can do this now. And did you notice my blog heading, “Journey with Friends“? It has been suggested that not only can this be a place for “ME”, it can be a place for others as well that are going down this path of better health. Some place where we can all meet up once a week for encouragement and strength. Please feel free to share any of your wisdom – great recipes, motto’s, encouragement, ideas, suggestions and/or your weight loss stories and goals. Together we can do this!
Oh my goodness my friends!! I will tell you this first. By going to the clinic and donating my plasma twice a week, that is so helping me to stay on plan and watch what I am eating and doing. I have cut out ALL caffeine and cut way back on sugars – not all the way yet but working on it. I’m also eating more fish which is something that I have never done before. Food tastes do change, huh?
By saying all of this, I’m happy to report that I am down THREE pounds last week. Happy dance – Happy dance! The good thing about all of this is that I’m living life the way I need to – eating better and taking care of myself more. I’m not looking at this entire process as a diet more so as a lifestyle change. AND IT’S WORKING. Once a week, I allow myself to have something I really desire within reason. Doing this, I don’t feel like I’m denying myself anything.
BUT, I do need help on something. I’m having problems at the plasma clinic with my pulse rate. One reason is when I go, usually I have to stand in line for several hours before I get to the vitals check-in. With all of that standing, by then my pulse rate is around 118 bpm. Now, I do have tachycardia (which is a fast heart rate) so that does hinder me. But in order to give plasma, it has be 100 or below. If I don’t pass the first time, they allow me to sit out for 15-20 minutes and then re-test. I’ve been able to make it through then except for one time which they wouldn’t allow me to give that day. I’ve tried listening to classical music to calm me but it’s still tricky. I have made a commitment to donate 20 times and I’m at 6 times now. Any suggestions to help get my pulse down?
Thanks my sweet friends. Now how was *your* week in your lifestyle changes? Did you lose? Did you try some awesome recipes? Did you do something different for exercising? A new food change? Tell us all about it 🙂 It takes all of us supporting each other to make it this way of living. Bless you and thank you so much for helping me out!! ❤
