Paw Time with Houdini
Oh my friends – I’ve heard of something new here this week at the Hotel Thompson. Okay, it may not be ‘new’ per say but we were having a conversation about it here. What is it? FRUITCAKE. We all got involved about fruitcake. Let me show you a picture I found:
Look delicious? This is how we feel about here at the Hotel Thompson.
Hemi: I wouldn’t bury it in my litter box.
Mouse Girl: Whatever – it means nothing to me.
Bacon: I’ll eat it. I love it!
Mom: Unless it’s been soaking in alcohol, nope not interested.
Dad: It makes a great door stopper.
Me: Look at all the pretty colors!
Now your thoughts about fruitcake. Yay or Nay?

Don’t get me wrong, I like fruit cake – just not this candy version of fruit. I prefer fresh fruit like apples on my cake. Or even better, a sponge with strawberries in early summer. But not this abomination of fruit.Crystallized is a crime against humanity.

Fruit cake use to bs begter if you find good one it is excellent however finding a good one is like snow in June or July.

I take it she buys one every yr eats it then fisses about being better in olden days and making her fat/ and fyi your piggy brother would probaly eat anything but cat,dog and pig everything else he will eat.

it means Christmas, as we always went into production in November making these then soaking them in brandy. I actually like them and think they’re pretty. I know it’s not common to like them but I do. Actually after a 3 year restricted diet, I like just about everything but smelly fish.

Only one person in our entire extended family will eat it so if any of us get it as a gift it goes to her (or the dump!). It’s always good to have a person like that in the family. Sounds like Bacon is that kind of person too.

My grandfather was a Shriner and use to sell it. I never appreciated it as a child, but now that I can’t eat gluten, I miss it.
