Paw Time with Houdini

06 Nov

Awesomesauce – yep I said it – AWESOMESAUCE.  Last week I told you that I think I was going to the V.E.T.  Remember?  Well I was wrong – barks!  And that’s a great and wonderful thing.  Nope, mom and dad took me for a walk in my stroller instead.  Now that I can deal with any day of the week.  We went up the street to a football stadium and we walked all over the parking lot.  Mom said it was for exercise for her and dad.  I was good with that.  I got pushed around and enjoyed the sun and air outside.  And did I mention the people we ran into that went all goo-goo all over me?  That was awesome!  Mom/dad thought I needed some time with them outside.  Afterwards, I played in my back yard for a while with Bacon.

I have an admission to make this week.  They say that admission is the first step to owning up to something that you did.  So here it goes.  I’m a pillow chewer.  Sigh – it’s out there now.  You see, I’ve destroyed three pillows off of the couch.  Not all at one time.  Oh no, that would be wrong.  I took my time one pillow at a time.  You see they have zippers – zippers that are all shiny and calling my name.  So when dad doesn’t look or pay me any attention, the pillows attack me.  I have to protect myself, right?  So I chew the zippers out.  One.pillow.at.a.time.  Mom is not happy to say the least.  She said that she is going to have to sew those pillows without zippers.  And don’t think I didn’t get in trouble.  I did.  Mommy ignored me and put me in timeout.  Can you imagine that?  Being ignored with no cuddles?  Mom told me she loved me but destroying pillows is a major NO-NO…. especially she said when I have so many toys.  Shaking puppy head.  I was wrong.  I know that now.  So my friends, what can I do to get back on mom’s good side?  Suggestions?

Well that’s all for me my friends – yawns – I hope you had a wonderful week as well.  Happy weekend!

I’m a pillow chewer too… and I do disreputable things with pillows…. the zipper is always a good trigger… and the most pillows have a tag inside what has the be removed at any price. and the best is, I’m on the good side now automatically. my mom had an insane senior-moment and decided to make pillows with her own paws … and she was grateful that we have a lot of pillow-stuffing material :o) btw: just between us: I hope that paw-made pillows will never appear on the couch… no self-respecting dog would chew one of her miscreations :o)

This is true. Mom says she is going to remove all of these zippers and resew them herself. We shall see. Cause you know me waiting for mom to find time to do that – heck I may be college by then – barks! ❤ Houdini

Best way to get back in mom’s good graces: puppy eyes. Big, sad puppy eyes. Then, once she’s captured, a head tilt! Good luck! *ear licks* Noodle

Barks! thanks Noodle. That sounds like great advice. I shall try that this afternoon – you know just in case one of those pillows explode – ❤ Houdini

I feel for you. We lost a couch and an ottoman to spontaneous combustion. Or at least that’s Penny’s claim.

you just have to work the big sad eyes look – but maybe Mom and Dad need to look at getting you some bully sticks to chew on instead of pillows

Barks! You know I have lots of chew toys and sticks but there is something about those sweet pillows that call my name. Just like rugs call Bacon’s name – ❤ Houdini

Well, there is just something about those big fluffy pillows. They have these shiny zippers that draw my attention. I might have – might is the word – chewed some of those zippers off. Mom says I gave her more work to do cause now she is going to have to sew those pillows. She even said that I have so many chew toys and I gotta pick her pillows. She wasn’t happy. ❤ Houdini

Dog strollers are a great idea. When Bashful and Shane and I went to Japan we visited a dog park and there were literally hundreds of dog strollers. Some peeps have a train ride and a bit of a walk to get to the park and it is more convenient for all to have a dog stroller. Some strollers had multiple dogs in them. I nearly died of CUTE! The Japanese people were OK with this little aussie going gaga over their dogs and we even got some great pictures. Hmm.. perhaps I should get my critters one. It would make crossing the road a lot easyer. As for getting back into Mom’s good book? I am sure she has forgiven you already. Dogie high fives.
