Bacon’s Show and Tell – MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Thanks to everyone that participated in my Bacon’s Show and Tell for October – did you have fun?  I know we did here at the Hotel Thompson. We absolutely LOVE these Show and Tell pictures.  

For November – we want to see party pictures.  Since this is Thanksgiving, let’s focus on that.  What did you and your family do for Thanksgiving – or any other big holiday where you are.  Did your family get together?  Did you go out to eat?  Did you cook out?

Let’s share pictures and stories of what we did.

Bedtime Rituals

Do you have a bedtime ritual?  Something that you do every night before Mr. Sandman visits you?  Me being a piggy – Ireally demand a schedule.  When my schedule is off, so is my cute little personality – snorts!.  For instance, every night mom starts putting me to bed around 8:30pm.  I say start because I have a routine here at the Hotel Thompson.

At 8:30pm, mom tells me it’s time for bed.  We go into the kitchen to get my bedtime snack and a drink of water.

At 8:45pm, I’ll start wobbling down the hall to my bedroom.  I’ll take care of my ‘business’ and get into my toddler bed.

At 9:00pm, mom comes into my bedroom to tuck me into bed and kiss me good night.  Sometimes she tells me a story.  Sometimes she sings to me and pets my back until I fall asleep.  Other times, she sets the timer on my television so I can watch one of my favorite shows for a while before I fall asleep.

At 9:15pm, mom puts Houdini to bed.  He’s not one for bedtime stories – he thinks he’s too big for that.  Can you believe it?  So, she rocks him and puts his onsie jammies on and tucks him in for the night.  Rotten little guy – rolls piggy eyes and snorts with laughter.

At 9:30pm, mom and dad go to bed.  Mouse Girl and Hemi follow them cause they sleep in their room on the big bed.  Hemi snuggles right between mom/dad and has to touch both of them.  Mouse Girl sleeps at the bottom of the bed and stretches as far as she can between mom/dad’s feet.

Paw Time with Houdini

Awesomesauce – yep I said it – AWESOMESAUCE.  Last week I told you that I think I was going to the V.E.T.  Remember?  Well I was wrong – barks!  And that’s a great and wonderful thing.  Nope, mom and dad took me for a walk in my stroller instead.  Now that I can deal with any day of the week.  We went up the street to a football stadium and we walked all over the parking lot.  Mom said it was for exercise for her and dad.  I was good with that.  I got pushed around and enjoyed the sun and air outside.  And did I mention the people we ran into that went all goo-goo all over me?  That was awesome!  Mom/dad thought I needed some time with them outside.  Afterwards, I played in my back yard for a while with Bacon.

I have an admission to make this week.  They say that admission is the first step to owning up to something that you did.  So here it goes.  I’m a pillow chewer.  Sigh – it’s out there now.  You see, I’ve destroyed three pillows off of the couch.  Not all at one time.  Oh no, that would be wrong.  I took my time one pillow at a time.  You see they have zippers – zippers that are all shiny and calling my name.  So when dad doesn’t look or pay me any attention, the pillows attack me.  I have to protect myself, right?  So I chew the zippers out.  One.pillow.at.a.time.  Mom is not happy to say the least.  She said that she is going to have to sew those pillows without zippers.  And don’t think I didn’t get in trouble.  I did.  Mommy ignored me and put me in timeout.  Can you imagine that?  Being ignored with no cuddles?  Mom told me she loved me but destroying pillows is a major NO-NO…. especially she said when I have so many toys.  Shaking puppy head.  I was wrong.  I know that now.  So my friends, what can I do to get back on mom’s good side?  Suggestions?
