Maybe she had a pension – and nobody informed the pension payer to stop his payment. So the pension arrived at the account, the bill was payed by monthly automatic payment (my electric company has a direct debit authority, for example) and all goes undetected …

It could happen. There was a case of a guy in Atlanta not too long ago that his family never came and visited him. The neighbors didn’t know him too well. He passed away and no one found him for almost 6 months. Everything was automatically paid and deposited. XOXO – Bacon

In relation to the bills being paid question, she could have paid her bills by automatic deduction and have superannuation being paid into her account each month like many self funded retired people do. I thought that was hilarious on many levels.
