Movies –

10 Sep

Name a movie that you have seen more than 3 times.  This is easy here at the Hotel Thompson.  Mommy LOVES the Jurassic Park movies – all of them.  If she is having an icky day or wants to sleep with some sound on in the background, she *always* pops in Jurassic Park.  She says it something about the roar of the dinosaurs that helps her to relax.  Snorts – yeah okay.  What if they were roaring in person – would she like them so much then?  Snorts with piggy laughter.

So what about you my friends.  What movie have you watched more than three times?

Sleepless in Seattle “and then you think breathe in and breathe out – and after a while you don’t have to think about it anymore” – sigh ..
Or “Little Lord Fauntleroy” with Alec Guiness as the misanthropic grandfather, or the German movies about the Austrian Empress Sissy from the Fifties, or the Life of Brian (Monty Python) and I am not even so much into movies. Oh, yes, High Society with Grace Kelly.(I even went with a friend to watch the musical version in our local theatre.) “Three wishes/nuts/gifts for Cinderella” – a Czech version of Cinderella, has three differerent English titles. Can’t forget this one, I love this Cinderella version as it is a more active version.

I am not sure I’d recommend The Life of Brian to anyone from America, unless you know how to take even religious jokes …

The Hand Of Power by Edgar Wallace. My mom saw it 14 times in an old cinema…butt sadly they kicked her out as she started to utterthe dialogues of all characters of that movie :o) the price of a ticket was 80 cents that time…unbelievable :o)

you know our Mom is probably weird – well we know she is but she hides it well – she doesn’t watch any movie more than once – no matter how much she likes it.
