Oh my friends – what a week! We’ve all been trying to get mommy feeling better here at the Hotel Thompson. I think she is *finally* getting there. This weekend, there are no plans for any marathon errand runs…. well maybe there is one errand to be completed. Mom has been on mission to find me a new groomer. Someone that can do me more often than every other month and doesn’t cost a kidney. It’s been hard work! I’ve seen her searching and looking. In fact, her and dad even brought me somewhere this week and walked right back out of the place. Mom picked up bad vibes and of course she goes with them. Has your human ever done that?
Well, she found me a place. She called the business and immediately hit it off with the owner – they talked for over 15 minutes about me. I have an appointment to see them tomorrow for the ‘works’. Happy Spa Day to me huh? Of course, the first trip costs the most but after that every month will be half to stay on the maintenance plan. Mom likes that. And of course, I kind of do too for the Spa treatment 🙂 I’ll keep you posted on the progress of my new place.
Also this week, I want to let you know that mom has been cooking more here at the Hotel Thompson. She finally realized that the big hot box on the floor is not a paperweight but a real cooking appliance called the oven… okay those were daddy’s words – barks. One day this week, she made home made Chinese noodles with veggies and meat. And I’ll tell you my friends, it was super good. How do I know? Because mom fed me with chopsticks. You don’t believe me? Look at the pictures below. Mom would click them together and I would immediately open my mouth. Spoiled much? Barks! Of course now.

how great that you can manage chopsticks, you are rfeally a magic dog :o) we agree for the groomer-problem, it’s hard to find a good one. our terrier ended with a poodle-cut once (the whole family cried for the weird looking pup) and the second time with a hurt ear and 87 scratches… and as we tried to do it at home it ended as an epic fail (fortunately the dog was in sound condition). I hope this groomer is yours and the place you will visit for your regular spa-appointments :o)

Thanks my friend. See I’ve learned some awesome tricks here at the Hotel Thompson. I like being hand fed by chopsticks. Mom makes sure I get the good stuff. And the groomer thing – Barks! I really hope this works out. My hair grows so fast! Plus I kind of like the idea of having a special Spa Day every month with the works. I’ll keep you posted. ❤ Houdini

You are very fancy eating Chinese food with chopsticks, H. Good luck with your new groomer. Whenever I get my nails trimmed at Petco, Mom stands there and watches. God – she is overbearing!
Love and licks,

I know what you mean! Mom/dad are very hesitant about me being ‘dropped’ off anywhere. This new groomer relaxed mom a bit on that and said I would be first in and first out. I’m hoping she likes him. I can’t wait. ❤ Houdini

It’s tough to use chopsticks with paws, but you manage.

Your Dad comes up with the best quotes. You should do a post on him and his snarky comments!

Hey kiddo, I’m so behind on reading and hope your spa day was the best. Having a great groomer that is affordable and that the dog actually likes is worth it’s weight in gold.
