Hey friends – just to let you know, mom has taken down her food blog. She is going to let me post pictures that I find on her iPhone from when her and daddy escape the Hotel Thompson. She said it was something about trying to keep up with two blogs… which I don’t get because I take care of my blog – snorts. With that in mind, let me show you one of mom and dad’s latest escapades.
Daddy is a HUGE pizza guy. He could probably eat it every day of the week. He has been wanting to try a new pizza that Pizza Hut is offering. It’s called the Hot Dog pizza. Yep, you read that right. A Hot Dog Pizza. Rolls piggy eyes – really mom and dad? Thank goodness this pizza didn’t make it the house and they shared it with friends.
It is a regular pepperoni and cheese pizza but the twist is in the crust. The crust is hot dog pretzel bits. I asked mom if she liked it because she is usually not a huge pizza gal. She said, “SQUEALS – it is so good!” So there you go. If you are up for an adventure, mom/dad highly recommend this new pizza from Pizza Hut. Let us know if you try it and what you think 🙂

We have no idea how you and your mom do it – you post everyday, sometimes more than once! We seem to be struggling with once a week these days!
Pizza Hut is currently on mom’s list of “need to try” places. They are fairly new to South Africa, having left the country in the 1990’s (something to do with politics and sanctions mom says) but they are back and one is opening up not too far from where mom works.
Dada is a hardcore fan of Dominos Pizza – he says it’s the closest he will ever get to having New York pepperoni pizza ever again (they are new to SA too).
We also have a Burger King (they are also new) and we’re getting Starbucks next year – mom and dada were literally doing a happy dance when that news broke. They seriously need some help with their caffeine addiction.

Humans are like that my friends. They love these restaurants. There will always be a debate on who has the better pizza – snorts. There is a place that mom/dad like to go to that is quite a distance from them that has the best garlic cheese pizza. AND it’s HUGE. I’ll have to see if we can find a pic of that one. XOXO – Bacon

Well I think your Mom was brave to try and keep up with doing TWO blogs so this is a great compromise! You can tell us what kinds of interesting foodables they find and we can get the word from you here………..that pizza looks spectacular (Mom says). Mom and Dad rarely have pizza but this one looks very tempting!

I know! Mom is not a fan of pizza at all but she liked this one. There was something about the light sauce and the pretzel hot dogs. It was heaven. Hopefully this will work out better with me stealing – I mean borrowing – her pictures from her fun and asking her about the places her and dad eat at. Lord knows that woman has her hands full at the moment with her aches/pains and working. XOXO – Bacon
