Pay it Forward – REMINDER

Paying it forward is is something that we want to start in the new year of 2015. You know the old saying of, “Do onto others as you want them to do onto you?”  Well, let’s put it in action in 2015.  Every month, we are hosting Pay it Forward with my friends from Nikitaland.

Paying it forward is simple.  You do something for someone out of the blue, not asking for anything in return just because you can.  It’s little things that count. Karma comes around for all of us.

Here are a few examples:

Pay for the person behind you at a drive thru – could be as simple as a cup of coffee or breakfast.

Help someone take their groceries to their car at the grocery store.

Give extra as a tip to your waiter/waitress.

Visit a elderly neighbor and spend some time with them.  Read to them or bring them lunch.  Listen to them as they talk.

Pay for the person behind you at a toll booth.

Put money in a parking space for someone whose time is getting close to expiring.

Make a donation.

Cook lunch or dinner for a neighbor in need.

Offer to babysit for free to a couple who needs a night out.

See, it’s the little things that count that make the most.  Just being there for someone to see their smile can bring great karma your way.  So in the new year of 2015 – let’s Pay it Forward.

You have an entire month to Pay it Forward.  Do little things.  We will meet back here on my blog on May 1, 2015 to post about what we have done and how we have touched someones life in 2015.  I hope this inspires you my friends ❤

Shuffles Hooves

I have to start by saying I’m coming out of hibernation.  See my fur.  It’s coming off.  I’m shedding.  I do that.  Then we are *all* under stress here at the Hotel Thompson.  This is a picture from last week.  We still had carpet… then. 🙂 That’s all I’m saying about that.  Tomorrow is a big day here.  I can’t tell you anymore than that – well except it’s almost over.

I can tell you though that last week I might have cornered a worker here at the Hotel Thompson.  Might is a pretty strong word.  See, who would have known that a strong, tall guy could be afraid of a little oinker.  He was working in the kitchen.  I thought I would check on him and walked up behind him and oinked.  You know he jumped pretty high – I was amazed.  So there I was having a conversation with him and oinking.  He squealed pretty high too.  Then mom came in holding the little guy Houdini and was trying to wrestle me out of the kitchen.  I was just trying to help… really I was.  Raise your hand if you believe me.  I see you – thank you.  Stupid worker.

Snorts – Today is the dreaded TAX day.  Post offices will be working overtime today and tonight making sure all tax submissions are dated today.  Never fear though – mom and dad have already taken care of their taxes.  They are good for another year – YAY!

Who couldn’t resist a little funny on the deadline for submitting your taxes, April 15.  Mom and dad says this cartoon is way to truthful.  Enjoy!
