Pay it Forward – Reminder

25 Mar

Paying it forward is is something that we want to start in the new year of 2015. You know the old saying of, “Do onto others as you want them to do onto you?”  Well, let’s put it in action in 2015.  Every month on the first Wednesday of the month, we are hosting Pay it Forward with my friends from Nikitaland.

Paying it forward is simple.  You do something for someone out of the blue, not asking for anything in return just because you can.  It’s little things that count. Karma comes around for all of us.

Here are a few examples:

Pay for the person behind you at a drive thru – could be as simple as a cup of coffee or breakfast.

Help someone take their groceries to their car at the grocery store.

Give extra as a tip to your waiter/waitress.

Visit a elderly neighbor and spend some time with them.  Read to them or bring them lunch.  Listen to them as they talk.

Pay for the person behind you at a toll booth.

Put money in a parking space for someone whose time is getting close to expiring.

Make a donation.

Cook lunch or dinner for a neighbor in need.

Offer to babysit for free to a couple who needs a night out.

See, it’s the little things that count that make the most.  Just being there for someone to see their smile can bring great karma your way.  So in the new year of 2015 – let’s Pay it Forward.

You have an entire month to Pay it Forward.  Do little things.  We will meet back here on my blog on April 1, 2015 to post about what we have done and how we have touched someones life in 2015.  I hope this inspires you my friends ❤

Kindness and smiles never go out of style. (and you can do good deeds secretly without anyone knowing, too.)

YES you can. Often mom does but here on this date we can share everything we’ve done. It’s a great way to keep Paying it Forward 🙂 XOXO – Bacon

I bought an older couple their coffee at Starbucks last night and they bought the young couple behind them coffee. The young couple bought the young man his coffee behind them.
    This was very cool.

I have a terrible confession to make–I have forgotten Pay It Forward (it’s been crazy around here but no excuse!!!) However, the other day, we were talking about doing good deeds and my husband out of the blue said that someone did him a good deed recently. I asked if it happened on a Wednesday and he said yes, how did you know that? Apparently, a woman at a Starbucks in Manhattan paid for his coffee (no explanation and he didn’t ask!) I told him about your project. I think I have one more day to fulfill it, right? Let me see what I can do!

YES YOU DO! We will get together on 4/1/2015 to discuss our good deeds for the month. That is so totally awesome! Please join us this day and tell what happened. It works both ways and this is great! XOXO – Bacon
