Pay it Forward – Mark Your Calendars

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Paying it forward is is something that we want to start in the new year of 2015. You know the old saying of, “Do onto others as you want them to do onto you?”  Well, let’s put it in action in 2015.  Every month on the first Wednesday of the month, we are hosting Pay it Forward with my friends from Nikitaland.

Paying it forward is simple.  You do something for someone out of the blue, not asking for anything in return just because you can.  It’s little things that count. Karma comes around for all of us.

Here are a few examples:

Pay for the person behind you at a drive thru – could be as simple as a cup of coffee or breakfast.

Help someone take their groceries to their car at the grocery store.

Give extra as a tip to your waiter/waitress.

Visit a elderly neighbor and spend some time with them.  Read to them or bring them lunch.  Listen to them as they talk.

Pay for the person behind you at a toll booth.

Put money in a parking space for someone whose time is getting close to expiring.

Make a donation.

Cook lunch or dinner for a neighbor in need.

Offer to babysit for free to a couple who needs a night out.

See, it’s the little things that count that make the most.  Just being there for someone to see their smile can bring great karma your way.  So in the new year of 2015 – let’s Pay it Forward.

You have an entire month to Pay it Forward.  Do little things.  We will meet back here on my blog on April 1, 2015 to post about what we have done and how we have touched someones life in 2015.  I hope this inspires you my friends ❤

I Don’t Get It

I don’t get it.  Really I don’t.  I was out and playing around while Houdini was sleeping – taking one of his many power naps during the day – snorts.  You see this blue thing.  Houdini loves it.  He says it’s his now.  It belongs to the purr things here, Hemi and Mouse Girl.  They played with it a hoof full of times and disregarded it.  You know how fickle some purr things can be.

Then Houdini found it again.  There’s a ball inside of it that I do believe calls his name and taunts him.  It doesn’t bother me much.  I would shrug my shoulders if I had any – snorts and rolls with laughter.  I don’t get the fascination.  There’s a ball inside of it that rolls around the confines of the contraption.  So what.  I don’t get it.

Now if mom put some Gold Fish in there or some Animal Crackers, it might become my new best friend.  I would definitely play with it… until I got all my treats out.

Houdini though – he can play with this thingy for hours.  He pushes it all over the front room floor.  He paws at it trying to get the ball.  He barks at it.  I mean really barks ferociously like he’s going to take it apart.  It’s kind of funny to watch.

And that’s what we do – the purr things and I just watch and laugh to ourselves.  We just don’t get it. But hey we are all for the little guy playing with it for hours.  I mean hey if he’s playing with it for hours that means he’s not messing with us.  That means we have mommy time.  Yeah, I like the sound of that just fine.

You carry on big dog.  I just know you’ll get that ball…. one day.  Evil snorts.

Texts from Bacon

Yep, me and mom have been at it again.  I thought I was dying.  Really I did.  I heard about this mysterious disease on the television on the afternoon news.  I can’t get sick.  Who would take care of mommy then?  So, I did what I do best.  I sent her a text. My texts are in grey and mom’s are in blue.  You’ll see.  I thought this was the end.
