Paw Time with Houdini

09 Jan

Yawns – Hello my new friends of Bacon.  Welcome back to my Paw Time with Houdini.  A lot has happened in a week.  I got my stitches out and my cone of shame has been removed.  Well, part of that is right – barks.  Mom and dad took me to the vet’s office to have my stitches out and guess what.  Go ahead guess.  Jumps around hopping with excitement.  Can you guess?  My stitches were already out!  Did you guess that?  Mom says it was because I was being too active and jumping and hopping and pouncing at everything.  I’m not sure.  I’m just glad the cone of shame is off.   They also checked my mouth because I had four teeth extracted the same date as my procedure.  Everything looked great and I don’t have to go back until the end of this year – YAY!  Jumps around with joy.

Some people have asked how big I am.  Personally, my inner dog thinks I’m as big as a St. Bernard and I weigh over 100 pounds.  In fact, while we were at the vet’s office they weighed me again.  They said their scales stated 6.2 pounds.  I think they need to have their scales recalculated and I demanded to be reweighed again.  No way I can be 6.2 pounds – I’m too fierce for that.  Don’t believe me?  Listen closely – ggrroowwll – were you scared?

This is a picture that Bacon took of me playing with mom’s hand.  Mom has to be a freak with such a large hand because again I can’t be that small.  See the fierceness in me? Mom calls me her little firecracker.

I’m leaving you today with a funny that I found during my ‘procedure’.  Bacon has been teaching me how to blog and I hope you like my weekly edition.  Have a great weekend my new found friends – barks out!

You are not as little as picture have Bacon explain photos to you but you are a little dog. It is ok to be small and you can still be as feisty as you want to be but of get hurt or sick slow down for a little bit. Peyton the dog I nanny is about 22 lbs and about 2ft tall.

You took out your own stitches?? Yikes. Maybe you’ll have a future working at the vet’s office as an assistant. Mom always says I need a job, but I have no skills. You’re off to a great start, H.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

Barks! I think it would be a hoot to put a cone of shame on dad’s head. He likes to wear the cat toys – why not a cone, right? It would definitely be a bark of a good time to watch. No more vet dude til the end of the year – BARKS and jumps with the joy of a puppy! ❤ Houdini

WOW Houdini……I think this officially means you’re a doctor’s assistant since you removed your own stitches. I do think that cartoon at the end is very – er – um – PERTINENT to what took place on your little body a few weeks ago!

    Hugs, Sammy

Barks me new friend! I gotta see if mom can get daddy a cone of shame to see how he likes it – barks-barks. That thing didn’t slow me down one single bit but it was something else to sleep in at night. Thank goodness those days are way behind this 100 pound body now… barks. ❤ Houdini

Houdini, I did the same thing with my stitches! We must be related. You’re only 6.2 pounds. Your smaller than me and I’m a skinny kitty…well I was before winter set in. I was 7 pounds. The vet says I’m 8 pounds now. I believe you are fierce Houdini….the fierceness can’t be measured in pounds….its all attitude my friend.
