My friend Fozzie and I have scheduled a group posting today of Shopping Around the World. We thought it would be interesting to see the differences between different countries all over.Here are our prices for the following from our area – Georgia USA:

- Popcorn – We have a tendency to go old school here at the Hotel Thompson. Mom buys the kernels in a bag to pop old fashion wise on the stove. Trust me – it’s well worth the extra steps. A 16 ounce bag of popcorn she can get on sale for $1.50 – it makes about 10-12 batches of corn for this oinker. And trust me – I ❤ my popcorn.
- Beer/Wine – Mommy is very picky on her wine. She only buys Francis Ford Coppola wines. Don’t ask me why cause I don’t know cause she won’t give me a taste of the grape – snorts. Daddy says it costs about $20.00 or more for a bottle. Thank goodness mommy doesn’t drink that much – I mean hey that cuts into my popcorn right? PLOL
- Chocolates – Mom’s favorite chocolates are Dove. You know the ones that you unwrap and they have a secret little message on the wrapper. She buys a 16 ounces bag usually for around $4.00.
- Ice Cream – Mom has been hooked on Breyers Gelato these days. Her favorite – Vanilla caramel. Sometimes and not very often she can get a tub (28.5 ounces) for $4.00. I have to admit mommy gave me a taste the last time she had some of this. It was delicious. I think I squealed it was so good!
- Random Item of your choice – Something that comes out only during this time that my mommy absolutely loves is the white chocolate covered Oreo’s. Delish… well so says mom and dad. I have still yet to get one – hint hint mommy dearest.

Oh Bacon.. I have failed to get my list done…pee patrol has left me lagging! I love popcorn..i do microwave the stuff but love popping them the old fashioned way if I have time…sadly popcorn does NOT love me….it sort of ..well pay back is not good hahaaha…great list my friend..we need a wine together …just sayin 😉 much loves Fozziemum xx

Wow, I love your shopping event! It’s so fun to see what other goodies our furiends have in other places. My mom never met an ice cream or chocolate treat she didn’t love. BOL My crabby girls love plain popcorn too.
My peeps are headed off to visit FnE for several days which means I’ll be in doggy jail, so before I go, I wanted to be sure to wish you and your whole family a super Thanksgiving holiday!

So, here in upstate New York:
* Popcorn: Really can’t say!
* Beer/Wine: We get cases of Budweiser (hubby is English). I just got them on sale for $19.99/case (usually around $21.99/case);
* Chocolates: I only get them on sale, around $3.00 per package;
* Ice cream: Again, I only get them on sale, around $2.50 to $3.00 per carton;
* Random item: My gluten free bread (Udi’s) is $6.49 per loaf.

Popcorn 175g costs 0,59 euro. Granny loves only the sweet one, you know the one that gets between your paws when you accidentally step on it and never lets go, even when you try to shake it of…. 😀
MOL 😀 You’re a funny pig, sweet Bacon 😀 Granny liked Canei, that’s white sparkling wine, it costs only 2,79 euro for 0,75 liter. Since her menopauze she gave up the wine, she says she’s hot enough now 😀
75 grams of dark chocolate costs 1,04 euro. When they eat their choc, I get a treat 🙂
Oh you lucky one, we hardly eat icecream, but when we do we eat Hertog icecream 200g 1,09 euro.
Granny is crazy about licorice. They eat it a lot in Holland. We like Jo-jo’s and nature drop and they cost about 1,20 to 1,50 for 200 grams.
