Oh my friends! What a wonderful thing that happened here last night at the Hotel Thompson. I got mail! Not an email but real goodness mail. I was so piggy excited that I ran all over the house and couldn’t wait until mommy got home from the worky place to open the package.
When she did – OMP!
It was the most beautiful thing in the world. My ❤ just swelled up with so much love to my good pal Fozzie. Why do you ask? Well, she actually made me something with very own two hands. It’s adorable – LIKE ME. It’s cute – LIKE ME. It’s priceless – LIKE ME! It has an awesome bell on it that is so freaking cute! I’m letting mom take it to work with her to put on her desk beside another great piggy that my Auntie Sharon made me a while back. That way every single time mom looks at them during her stressful day, she will think of all of the love that went into making these and of course of ME!
And of course, mommy did a special thank you video to my friend Fozzie. You can see that at the bottom. NOTE: Ignore mom’s southern twang – snorts.
And now this is the part where I need you my friends. As you know we have little Houdini here at the Hotel Thompson. The little guy is going through some puppy teething kind of bad. He wants to chew on everything – including my tail – snorts! Any of you my good friends have any thoughts or suggestions on helping the little guy out? Anything would be like most welcomed. Mom tried the washcloth in the freezer trick – he turned his nose up at it and went for mom’s fingers instead – snorticles.

So – can you help this piggy out? I know my tail and mom’s fingers would like great appreciate it so very much!

With four dogs around here… leather or rawhide chew toys work well. Ice and a washcloth doesn’t work so well because it has no real natural smell. Hope that helps.

it’s just wonderful…. and it will be always on your side, that was so nice from Bev :o) hey, the tail is GREAT! for the sharkie-terrier: you can try to yelp (like a puppy) when he starts to eat your fingers. it worked as I punched holes in all things around me… just our neighbors think we have a screw loose since they heard my dad yelping in the back yard…

Oh Miss Bev makes such cute little crochet thingies – and it looks just like you! Wish we had some advice for your Houdini buddy who thinks your tail is a teething ring……with all that furniture around – who needs a piggy tail???!!!!

Snorts – better mine than Mouse Girl. He tries to get her tail but she encourages it. Really she does. She sits and swings it back and forth taunting him. I did catch him nibbling on a television stand. I didn’t tell anyone. I guess I need to huh? Thanks cousin! XOXO – Bacon

that is great little pig to have. Now for mr Houdini – we recommend getting a nylabone they are beef flavored) and pop it in the freezer then give it to him. He wants something that is flavorful – the other option is a nice cold bone _ a big old rib bone will work.

That was so nice of Fozzie! You can think of Bacon when your workin’ your little heart out….Bacon’s mom. I can’t help with the teething thing at all. The only thing I can think of is cold rawhide or similar treats.

The yelping thing works! Also teaching them to “kiss” instead. We put butter on our hands and while they licked it we said “good boy KISS good kiss!” And eventually he learned the difference. Good luck (:

Awwwww we love mum’s Twang Bacon 🙂 and we love all of you at The Hotel Thompson and are so glad that the pink piggie is safe and going to have Miss Sharons gorgeous piggie for company at mum’s worky place 🙂 huge loves to you all ..now tail mucher..hmmm a Kong is always pretty tough ..now I used to put some peanut butter inside one and some bits of kibble..kept the pups..when they were pups chewing for ages..we still have Forrests baby teeth marks on the chairs of our dining table hahaahh 🙂 sending loves to you all and especially your gorgeous mumma 🙂 loves Fozziemum xxx ❤

OMD!!! You’ve been immortalised in wool…TWICE!!! That is SO PAWSOME!!!
We asked mom if she had any advice for you re: little Houdini. She suggested trying some weak vegetable or beef stock to soak the kitchen towel in first, then perhaps he’ll be more interested in it? She gave us raw hide chips and bones as teething puppies but she made sure they were bigger than necessary so that we wouldn’t be able to actually eat them, just gnaw away and “scratch the itch”, if you know what we mean.
