My Dad – The Superhero

WEEK No. 5

Okay friends – Christmas is coming up soon…for those counting 110 days – snorts.  Well my daddy, he is special – we all know that.  He loves his toys.  Literally, the man ❤ toys.  He and mom went to Wally World a couple of weeks back and the first place he goes is the toy section.  What can I say.  My father is a child at heart.  When they came back home, I found these pictures on mom’s iPhone.  OMP (Oh my pig) is all I can say… and maybe WOW.

My dad wants to be a superhero.  Now I know where I get those feelings from… I’ve always wanted to be Super Pig.  So I’m thinking that with Christmas coming up soon, I’m going to buy him a costume from me – his number one piggy son.  That’s where I need your help my friends.  In the next six weeks, I’m going to show you a picture that mommy took of daddy in the toy section.  At the end of six weeks, YOU can vote who my daddy needs to be and what I get him for Christmas.  Sounds fair to me, you?

Okay – this week’s picture – thoughts?  My dad – the Hulk.  Don’t make him angry – snorts.  You won’t like it when he’s angry.

 

Shopping Around the World – Mark Your Calendars

Thanks to everyone for another great edition of Shopping Around the World in August.  It’s so awesome to see the various prices around the world!

Me and my pal Fozzie started Shopping Around the World in April.  This has become a huge hit and we all want to know if we are paying more or less than everyone else – snorts.  We are going to do it again this month on Wednesday, September 24.

Do a posting on your blog linked back to mine.  That way we can keep track of all of the different prices.  It should be interesting to see the differences between.  Mark your calendar so you can do a posting with us.  This month we are focusing on fruits and vegetables – a vegetarian trolley if you will.  (Thanks Corkscot for the suggestion!)

Items to price this month:

• Apples – What kind do you buy, how many, price per pound.
• Strawberries – How many ounces/pounds and price.
• Carrots – What size bag, price
• Green Beans – Do you buy fresh/frozen/canned?  What kind and price.
• Lettuce – How much per head?
• Random Fruit of your choice
• Random Vegetable of your choice.

Cheese Pizza Day!

Today, September 5th is Cheese Pizza Day – YAY!  That’s what this squirrel is talking about.  Who doesn’t like pizza – especially cheese pizza?  Do you remember the movie Home Alone?  What was Kevin’s favorite pizza?  CHEESE PIZZA.  The basics of a wonderful pizza with all of that gooey cheesy awesomeness!  Pizza has to be one of the most popular dinner meals there is – it’s quick and easy.  Whether you make it yourself from scratch, with a little help from the store in a crust or delivery and/or pick up.  It can be thick crust, deep dish or thin crust.  What do you like?  At the Hotel Thompson, they prefer stuffed crust – with extra cheese.  Licks lips and gets plate ready to go see if I can ‘borrow’ a slice or two for my family 🙂  chitter-chatter – It’s what I do as a squirrel.
