Mom is at it again cleaning out boxes in the garage. She hasn’t done it in a while because of her back pain…. which by the way we found out wasn’t exactly back pain. The pain was in her right hip, hurt to touch, she couldn’t lay on that side and was just horrid. She went to the doctor and learned that it was Trochanteric bursitis. Joy huh? So she’s treating that and mom says thank you very much for everyone that prayed and was thinking about her.
But anyway, back to the blast from the past. Anyone remember “You Sunk My Battleship!” There’s a gazillion pieces and looks fun for me to drag all over the house but mommy says no touchy…. and that means the purr things here too at the Hotel Thompson! Snorts.
Anyone want to play? I call blue side!

As a kid, the only thing I loved more than playing battleship was cheating at battleship! I would move those boats everywhere if it meant beating my older brother.

I still have one of these and my grandkids think I was so poor and disadvantaged, because we didm”t have computers, iPad or iPods or iPhones.

The original, and still the best version of Battleship! One time I lined up all five of my boats side by side. My opponent (I think it was my Grandpa) hit one, and then continued across the board, hitting as different ship each time. He couldn’t understand why after 5 straight hits he hadn’t sunk one of my ships yet. Of course, once he did realize what I had done, I was quickly toast!

Poor mum 😦 hope she feels better soon we send all our super Aussie vibes for her nasty ouchie…now..Battleship…ok ..when Fozziedad and I were first living together we were hooked on it…we would set ourselves up on the weekend (I was 20 he was 22) in bed..snacks cigarettes and soft drink…then the game would start…now one weekend I felt particularly cheeky…so as we were playing Fozziedad kept trying to sink my ships….finally he though he had me…he thought I had them all in one corner as he just couldn’t find one to sink…I was tickled till I nearly wet myself by Fozziedad when he found out I had NO ships on the board…bwahahahaha they were all in the bedside table drawer..he won as I hate being tickled!!! ah….kids 😉 hugs Fozziemum xx
