I got this forecast for today off of dad’s iPad. Do you see that funny looking thing below 10AM-2PM? That little flurry looking thingy? It’s called snow. That’s right S.N.O.W. *They* are saying that we are going to get snow today. Here. In Georgia. In the South.
Perhaps my desire to meet snow up front and personal will come true. I’m not sure. I keep looking out the front door. Nothing yet. Not a flake. Not a drop of rain. Nothing.
The purr things here, Hemi and Mouse Girl, say it’s no big deal. I’m sure it’s not for them. I on the other hand, just wants to see it one time. The cold. The wet. Taste the snowflakes – I’ll make sure they’re not yellow – snorts. Just once to see the white stuff.
If this is all a big tease, I’m going to write a heated letter to *they*. You know who you are.
I’m off now to do a snow dance. I’m not sure what that calls for but I’m going to do something. I’ll keep you posted my friends. Wish me luck.

Yep. Big storm called Leon stretches from Houston to the Atlantic Coast of North Carolina. Very cold and snowy here in New Orleans. I bet you didn’t know that winter storms have names. I didn’t and I live through Katrina.

WOW. I keep checking. Nothing yet. I have my hooves crossed. It would be kind of cool to see this snow up close and personal since I’ve never seen it before. XOXO- Bacon

You probably won’t like it. Our dogs are Gulf Coast dogs. Two Cockers and a Poodle. They won’t go out unless I make them.

Snorts – I don’t go out either. I’m strictly in inside piggy. I’m house trained. Why would I want to go out? The only time I do is (A) mom is doing errands and I get to ride sidekick in her Smart car or (B) when she *forces* me to go out in the back yard with her. Shivers – I don’t like that second one. I just don’t care for the grass to touch my hooves. It’s a texture thing. XOXO – Bacon

Gosh Bacon…….snow? Real live snow? Well keep doing that snow dance buddy – something tells me the “weather gods” will be SOOOO impressed to see a piggy dancing for snow that you’ll get some……….even if it’s just a bit…………who could resist a dancing pig anyway????? If I was in charge of weather I know I couldn’t!!

I know Sammy. I really would like to see it at least one time in my little piggy life. Up close and personal – nose to snowflake if you will – snorts. I keep going to the door and looking but so far nothing. And you know what – if it snows really bad, then maybe mommy will stay home tomorrow from the worky place 🙂 That’s a great thought. Off to the do the snow dance again Cousin. Can you do one for me too? XOXO – Bacon

Bacon, I’m in Winston Salem, NC and it was snowing when I left for work this morning. We don’t usually get much, but they are talking inches of accumulation. We don’t have plows or equipment for snow either. And most southerners were not taught how to drive in it.

Oh, I am right there with you. Mommy says that if they even mention SNOW, people flee to the market to buy bread, milk and eggs. Strange behavior indeed. Nothing here so far. Heck, with one snowflake seen, Atlanta closes down – snorts. XOXO – Bacon
P.S. Please be careful there in the snow my friend.

You should see the chaos on the roads here in the south of France when it snows 😀 Hope you do get to see the white stuff so you can get that need out of your system.

Snorts. I know. We should want for something that’s greener on the other side of the fence. Mom says it’s cold and I won’t like it when it touches my snout and hooves. I don’t know. It’s kind of on my bucket list you know. XOXO – Bacon

If you don’t get any snow, I’ll see about sending you some from the pile that ends up in my yard every time they plow the street. I still have a tiny bit left over from the snowstorm 2 weeks ago!

I am an expert at snow. If you’re not careful, it will try to touch your belly. Then it’s scary. Then your mom will say you’re a spoiled baby and then she will pick you up and carry you home. It’s fun!

It was interesting and I’m glad I got to see it in person. Mom took the worse part. She fell on her bum and then had to carry me up the deck stairs. Can you believe she told me I needed to lose weight? I know she was delirious after that. Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
