This isn’t good. This is not good at all. I need help my friends- LOTS of help. I need to make mommy better. She is having what she calls a ‘magenta’ kind of day. You don’t know what that is, do you? Mom is a huge fan of the Golden Girls and that’s where it comes from. This is what it means:
“Magenta…that’s what I call it when I get that way. All kinds of feelings tumbling all over themselves. Well you know, you’re not quite blue, because you’re not really sad. And although you’re a little bit jealous you wouldn’t say you’re green with envy. And every now and then you realize you’re kind of scared but you’d hardly call yourself yellow…I hate that feeling. You get it now? Plus she had to go to the worky place today. Magenta, Monday and work equals not a good combination. Not one particular thing can be the reason for Magenta. It’s lots of little things snowballed into one giant I need to shout it out like the kid from Home Alone.
Perhaps that would work for mommy? But then again, she’s at work and I really wouldn’t advise that in her industry. So, what do we do to get mommy out of the Magenta mood and into say a blue colorful happy color? Suggestions my friends? Anything you can help me with?

If your mom’s aura turns mangenta than you should help her, I agree. I make tuna toast for my dad’s supper, because he had not a magenta day, but a black one :o) He loves tuna and I hope it helps him a little ( he is probably a cat). Maybe you can make a super-supper for your mom too?

For a magenta day, your mom needs to shop online. A lot. She can buy things for herself, things for your daddy, things for you, things for me….maybe…? My mom loves that tactic. Till the bills start coming. But, maybe before the bills, you’ll all become independently wealthy. That’s what my mom tells herself every time. Oh, and while she’s ordering, climb onto her lap till her legs fall asleep. Moms love that.

Your mom needs a “princess evening.” That’s when you and your dad and the fur-purr things treat her like a princess. She gets to have a really nice bubble bath prepared for her, and then she can just relax in the tub as long as she wants (sorry, no piggy allowed). Then she can park herself on the couch and get ready to enjoy her favorite television program or movie (piggy welcome to join her there). While she’s snug on the couch watching the television, your dad needs to deliver her all-time favorite comfort food to her (piggy welcome to share, if it’s ok with your mom). Sometimes my mommy gets a little magenta, too (thanks for giving her a color for these days; she never knew that), and she says a “princess evening” would go a long way toward turning that around. 🙂

Bacon I have those days too…and I rely heavily on the love of the furbabies junk food and for some bizarre reason Midsomer Murders..somehow seven murders in one episode cheers me immensely….as they say..this too shall pass we just wish the mood would pass quicker…and I used to do the silent scream..just open the mouth and put all my effort into a silent scream..did give me a headache which wasn’t good..hope mummy changes color soon Bacon Hugs from us also Fozziemum xx

I think your Mom needs some quiet time with a glass of water and her legs elevated. Then she needs to breath slowly and deeply and not think about anything for at least 10 minutes. I think you and Dad and the other critters need to work together to give her an entire morning off. 😀
