Interviews 4, 5 and We have a Winner!

This finding a pig sitter adventure is really tough!  I don’t think mom or dad thought it would be this complicated.  The date is getting closer!  We keep hearing the clock – tick tock tick tock.  I actually think mom was getting in panic mode.

Mom/dad had interviews again yesterday.  I think we may have a winner.  Keep your fingers crossed – I’m keeping my hooves crossed.

Each person is told the same thing.  Mom/dad are looking for a pig sitter, someone that would be with me most of the time.  With the exception of school, a date, etc.  I have a schedule that needs to be maintained to my standards.  That means, the individual gets free rent and food while they are here with me.  AND, they are getting paid to keep me company, feed me and basically be at my beck and call.  Snorts – okay well that’s how I took it anyway.

Interview 4 –  Snorts – I don’t even really need to say anything here – NEXT.  Okay, that’s not going to get it with you huh?  You want details on this NEXT?  Let’s just say the guy wore more make-up than mommy and had black fingernails.  Uh-oh not going to happen.  N.E.X.T.  This guy scared me more than any of the stories of my 31 Days of Spook.  I jumped off the sofa and RAN to my bedroom squealing.  I even slammed the door.  I would have locked it if I could have reached the door knob.  That was scary!

Interview 5 –  We have a WINNER!!

After much encouragement – darn this pot belly – I came out for interview 5.  I’m glad I did.  Her name is Hannah and she is heaven.  She smelled like baby powder and had the prettiest smile.  I immediately walked up to her and I didn’t scare her.  What?  A taker?  I jumped on the couch and again it didn’t startle her.  She petted me and I got a little bit closer.  She talked to mom/dad and petted me with the softest hands.  I think I’m in love.  She was my Hannah.  She didn’t even cringle when mom went over the details of taking care of me.  You know, like cleaning my box, cooking for me and playing with me.  Oh WOW!  So, when are mom/dad going away?  I have an angel that’s going to take care of me my friends.  I can’t wait.

31 Days of Spook – Day 14

Hello my fellow horror adventurers.  I hope everyone had a ‘light’ weekend and you are ready to come back to my 31 Days of Spook.  Count Baconula here with Day 14.  Buckle up my friends… it’s going to be a bumpy ride today.

Let’s focus today on the Ellis Hotel that is located in downtown Atlanta, right in mom/dad’s backyard if you will.

The Ellis Hotel used to be called the Winecoff Hotel.  On December 7, 1946 it had over 260 guests checked in for overnight.  Around 3:00AM (the witching hour some say), an elevator operator smelled smoke near the fifth floor and notified other employees.  Unfortunately by that time, the third, fourth and fifth floors were already on fire. The hotel was suppose to be fireproof and it turned out that night that it wasn’t.  Due to being ‘fireproof, there was no fire escapes, no fire doors, no sprinklers or alarm system.  Over 119 guests perished that night.

The hotel was reopened in 1951 as the Peachtree Hotel on Peachtree.  It passed through multiple ownerships and in 2007 it was named the Ellis Hotel.  There are rumors of items being moved, voices, children running and woman screaming down the hallways.  One time, two weeks in a row, the current alarm system went off at 2:48AM – the same time each week.

Mom/dad felt festive one day several months ago.  It was during their monthly date night and they spent the night at the Hotel Ellis.  It doesn’t take much to spook dad but mom on the other hand is a hard one to crack.  They stayed on the third floor in a very nice room.  Dad woke mommy up around 2:30AM complaining about the activity in the hallway.  When mom checked it out, there was nothing.  She didn’t hear it or see anything but dad said it woke him up.  Around 3:30AM, mommy woke up smelling smoke.  She’s very sensitive to the smell and she said it was overwhelming.  Again, she woke daddy up and he didn’t smell anything.  And for some reason, the elevator door went up and down a lot that night.  They could hear the doors opening and closing but no foot steps.  Needless to say, they didn’t get much sleep that night.
