WOW – The Supermoon was the weekend!
I had very high hopes that I would be able to stay up and watch everything. You know to see how that marvelous moon looked and be able to oohh and aaww. Well unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. I fell asleep in mommy’s lap and didn’t wake up until the next morning. This is highly unusual for me. I didn’t even wake up when mom tucked me into bed that night!
My friend Deborah Boza-Valledor at http://mymiamiminute.wordpress.com/ said that “The SuperMoon has that effect…it has super powers to lull you to sleep or run around like a crazy!” I totally believe her!
My friend Easy at http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/ had a deal that we were going to stay up and (1) find out if the moon was made from cheese and (2) if the cow actually does jump over the moon. Well, we didn’t find out and we had a strong belief that Werewolves were going to come out.
In fact, if you check out Easy’s blog on Sunday at http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/2013/06/23/3610/ you will see for a short minute we really believed in werewolves – snorts.
I really, REALLy wanted to see the Supermoon. It’s amazing when you think about looking up at the sky and everyone seeing the same moon – maybe not at the same time but it shows you how small the world is. My friend Sharon at http://gentlestitches.com/ said the same thing. The world is so small!
These gorgeous photographs were taken by a great friend of mom’s by the name of Heather Curtis. Heather lives in Murfreesboro, Tenneessee and took these wonderful pictures. Isn’t she talented! I think one day we are going to see her name in lights as a famous photographer! If you want to see some more of her great work, check her out on Instagram under heathercurtis. Tell her Bacon sent you. Enjoy the pictures my friends – Bacon

Maybe she will visit my page and leave us a message. Then we can say *we* knew her before she was famous! XOXO – Bacon

You are so lucky that your mom let you sleep. My crazy mommy made me wake up and go outside to look at the super moon. I can report three things to you. 1) The moon is not made of cheese. If it were, I am certain that I would have smelled it. 2) The cow did not jump over the moon, at least not while I was looking. 3) Seeing at your mom’s friend’s beautiful pictures sure beats having to wake up from a deep slumber to look at the sky!

Well hey – there you go. All I ever needed to know. We should have just came to you for the insight. Easy thought it was made of cheese and we were thinking of ways to get to it. And well, mom tells me about the cow jumping the moon all of the time. I really thought it might happen. But, I fell asleep in mom’s lap. It had to be the moon that made me do that. XOXO – Bacon

Thanks so much for all of the love, Bacon and friends! I am completely touched by all of the kind comments. I’m still learning how to use my camera (btw, @easyweimaraner, it’s a Nikon CoolPix L810), so it’s encouraging to know that some of you enjoyed the pictures that came of it. Makes me want to take more pictures. Lovely blog, Bacon, and I can’t wait to read more. I’ve saved your blog to my favorites bar and will be back soon! Give your mom a big, snouty kiss for me.

We saw it here in aussieland. It was very beautiful and I thought of all the generations of people and animals who have lived on this planet and looked up in wonder at the Moon. Your photographer friend did a fab job so you didn’t miss out. 🙂
