Okay, I have to start first by saying Happy Monday. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Second of all, it’s hot. H.O.T. I do not like the heat. Shakes head – it’s just not for me. I get questions at times about my ‘magical’ backyard and what it looks like. I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. You ask how? Looking at cold pictures makes me feel cooler. I’m going to share some snow pictures of my kingdom from a while back. Tell me that this backyard doesn’t look mystical and magical.
Now, look at this picture. It was snowing in it and although you can’t really *see* the snow, you can see the woods beyond. Doesn’t it just look inviting for all of the creatures that live back there in that paradise?
Can you understand now about that magical place back there in the woods? The tall trees, all of the over growth that might happen in the warmer months. In the cooler months, it just looks mysterious.
There’s really no telling what lives back there. I still say to this date that I’ve seen Bigfoot back there. I know I’ve at least heard his grunts!
And I’ve told you before about mom’s obsession liking of the mouse that wears gloves – that Mickey Mouse. He’s even in the back yard on the back deck. From this picture, you can see how much snow we had back there. Doesn’t it make you shiver just a bit? I already feel so much better just looking at this picture.
Have I said that I hate heat?
I thought I would throw this in for our barky friends 🙂 This is Honey Bear. Honey Bear was a chow mix. She was so loving, very sweet and very kind. She lived at the Hotel Thompson – see I told you we had a zoo here – snorts.
She has since gone over the rainbow to animal heaven. Wasn’t she beautiful?
And I saved the best for last. Now you can tell how far the
obsession idolization craziness fondness goes for that little mouse. Go ahead, check out the Hotel Thompson.
When you are done laughing – snort – tell me that picture doesn’t cool you down a couple of degrees. There’s nothing like snow in the summer – right?
And, after looking at these pictures of nature, do you understand why I’m an inside piggy?
Happy Monday my friends! XOXO – Bacon

Oh mommy would love you! I think mom has a problem. I may have to enter her into MMA (Mickey Mouse Anonymous). Snorts. XOXO – Bacon

The way we all complained about winter hanging around so long we have the nerve to complain about the heat, but of course, I am with you a zillion percent! I HATE the heat!
Your yard DOES look magical!
I am also a HUGE fan of Mickey Mouse! Always have been and had the “ears” (among other things) as a child.
Honey Bear (LOVE THAT NAME) was a true beauty and I know just how much your heart must still ache. What a gorgeous, gorgeous dog!

Thank you very much. We don’t mind the cold so much here at the Hotel Thompson. In fact, winter and fall are one of our favorites. It’s just magical here outside when it snows. And trust me, here in the south we don’t get it very much. But when we do, most of us LOVE it because everything shuts down 🙂
Mom is a huge fanatic of the little mouse. And we do miss Honey Bear. There is story behind her name. Mom is full of character and story writing – hard to believe huh? At one time, we were the house of the three ‘bears’. We had three dogs – Luckie Bear, Honey Bear and Goldie Bear. Sweet huh? XOXO – Bacon

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here in the deep south we so needed these cold (dare I say “cool’?) pictures, and Honey Bear was lucky to have that big coat for the winters, but probably a little miserable with it in the summers. My advice to you, Bacon, is to enjoy the comfort of inside through the summer and consider your first foray outside in early fall.

snorts – you know in the summer time, mommy used to get Honey Bear cut all the way down like a poodle. It was really a vision to behold – snorts. I like your advice about the outdoors – I just may have to do that and stay inside the Hotel Thompson – 🙂 I’ll tell my therapy group you said I could – wink. XOXO – Bacon

Honey Bear is probably frolicking at the Rainbow Bridge with our two little Papillons, and three of our cats. What a beautiful girl!
Your mommie has such good taste — MM is just the cutest.
Cooling pics really do help! We are having bizarre rain in June here today, but will be at 95 in another day!
Bacon, do you have a little wading pool? 😉

See, they are ALL friends over the rainbow! I look at the snow pictures a lot to keep me cool. I often get in the tub – snorts – since I’m still staying indoors. I’m still working in therapy to go outside. Mom says when I do, she is going to buy me a pool 🙂 I almost can’t wait – snorts. XOXO – Bacon

We would have a ball. These pictures were from last year. I had to show them in this hot heat. It makes me cooler just looking at them. XOXO – Bacon
