Fabulous Friday – YAY!

Hello my friends and Happy Fabulous Friday – YAY happy piggy dance wagging tail non stop.  This all mixed in with a long weekend due to the Memorial day holiday on Monday is fantastic news.  You do relax what all of this means, right?  Extra snuggles for the next three days!  OH YEAH!

Mom and dad are still trying to finalize their beach trip for October.  I hear them talking about it all of the time.  It sounds like it’s going to be a blast.  I know it ‘seems’ weird to go in October but they do it all of the time to their favorite beach spot.  There’s a couple reasons why.  (1) It’s off season so that means way less tourists.  They like to hang out with the local yocals that they have become friends with at the beach.  They’ve been going to the same place now on and off going on 10 years.  (2) Off season means off rates which means they can stay longer for less.  That’s the practical side of mom talking there – can you tell? snort chuckles  (3) Also, do you know that they haven’t been on ‘vacation’ per say in over two years?!  They’re wondering around the house these days like they’re planning a trip to Disney World!  They’re like little kids – it’s cute.

They keep talking about all of these wonderful restaurants that they want to go back to and the delicious food they have.  It sounds amazing.  I told mom, which I know she will, that she has to take LOTS of pictures for me to look at and drool over.  And, I’m sure she will share with ya’ll too.  That’s my mom – most people never leave home without money.  She never leaves home without her camera. 

You’ll probably hear me talking about their trip on and off until it happens.  They get so excited that it makes me excited for them.  Can you tell?

A New Food I’ve Tried – YUMMO!

Mom is a snacker.  Admission is the first step and that is something she has not faced yet.  It happens to the best of us.  She snacks all day long…. chips, popcorn, finger foods, carrots, celery sticks and such.  I guess she’s kind of like me.  Instead of having three solid meals a day, I like to snack too.  This way, in our minds, we stay full longer.  I know – I know.  It’s a wonder that we’re both not as big as the Goodyear Blimp.  We try to stay more on the healthier side but there are times that we stray down that road to the love of chips.

One of mom’s favorite chips in the entire world are called Funyuns.  They are onion flavored, crunchy and oh so good.  Dad doesn’t really care for them much.  I got to try them last night.  Let’s just say that they are pig approved.  Mom got this little sized bag.  We destroyed it together in less than 5 minutes flat – snort.

They are delicious but they do have side effects.  After eating them, it is *mandatory* that you brush your teeth.  That includes this little piggy.  Mom said I had some wicked breath – breath that was a mix of piggy chow and onions.  It was not a pleasant smell.  She made me brush and I did, of course with her help.   (Yes, I have my own toothbrush – who doesn’t?)  Afterwards, I smelled like toothpaste and she said that was a great smell for piggy breath.

We Need to Talk About Privacy

Can’t a pig here at the Hotel Thompson take a nap in privacy?  I mean, really – I was drooling and having little piggy dreams in this picture.  Mom is getting worse than the Hollywood paparazzi with that camera of hers. 

There has to be a line drawn somewhere… a house rule of sorts at the Hotel Thompson.  You know like no pictures of the pig that are unflattering or drooling.  What if Miss Piggy sees it? That’s cutting in on my future love life.  What if mom decides to make a book and put that picture in there?  Oh thud snort no. 

 

I wonder how mom would feel if I take a picture of her sleeping or when she first gets up with no make up and bed head?  Hey, there you go – that’s going to be my come back when I speak with her.  No wait, maybe just take the picture and show it to her.  Perhaps that will change her mind – evil snort PLOL (Pig Laughing out Loud).
