May 20th is a wonderful glorious day.  It is National Pick Strawberries Day – what a great day to enjoy.  I know that this is a day that the pig Bacon can wrap those jowls around.  He absolutely LOVES strawberries and that’s a huge understatement.

Today, start a new tradition.  Go find a strawberry field and pick your own strawberries.  Start a family tradition.  I think Bacon’s mom is actually going to go and pick the little fellow a few of his own today. I wonder if they will let Bacon come and pick his own?  Chitter Chatter – that would be a picture for the blog!  Enjoy my friends!

This is Journalist Rocky the Squirrel reporting out – Happy Picking!

What a great day, for you and definitely for Bacon. We have a couple of places where you can go and pick strawberries but, of course, it’s not the season here right now. Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

aaww thanks my friend. I do love the strawberries. You know, they’re not really made of straw – shocker huh? They are red, juicy and delicious. They do have little seeds but I can overlook those. Mom used to put one on my pillow every night before I went to bed. Nowadays, she leaves me apple slices. XOXO – Bacon

I cannot believe that my humans missed this day. And we live right up the road from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, “The Strawberry Capitol of the World.” What is wrong with my humans?

Close to Ponchatoula there’s a place where they make beer with just a hint of strawberry taste. Ummm . . . I love Strawberry Abita beer! But just tiny sips . . . really. 😉

hhhmm I wonder if I’m too young to try this strawberry beer that you speak of? I’ll have to ask mom when she gets home from the worky place. It sounds heavenly. XOXO – Bacon
