We made it through another week – what a wonderful feeling! Today is a good day to have a good day – remember that as you venture into this Friday.
I hope everyone has some wonderful plans for the weekend. Weekends at the Hotel Thompson means that mom is home from the worky place which means extra snuggles for me. I so can’t wait. Even though it was a short week here with the holiday, it seemed like it took forever for Friday to get here!
Mom/dad are going to the store tomorrow so I can’t wait to see what kind of wonderful new foods they bring home for me to try.
Whatever your plans are, have a safe and happy weekend!

Sometimes in the middle of the night, it hits you. It starts low in your belly and works its way up until it starts talking to you. The Midnight Munchie Monster HITS you just like that. It happens to all of us right out of the blue.
I know it’s hit mom in the middle of the night. I’ve heard her rumbling around in the kitchen digging for something – anything – quick to tame the monster. Then, once it’s tamed, it goes away just like that at a snap of a finger. Such a relief!

Well last night, it happened to me. I thought I was being possessed for a moment. My tummy was making sounds that I’ve never heard of before. It was almost like the scene from Little Shop of Horrors … “Feed me Seymour!
I wondered around the room for a bit tap dancing on my floor pacing back and forth. Then I would go to my door and kind of snort around hoping mom would be awake to come help me. That didn’t work so I started calling for her by making different sounds in my throat.
She finally heard me and came to my rescue. When she opened my bedroom door, I made a beeline to
the kitchen area to the big magical box where the humans keep all of the wonderful food. Mom came into the kitchen laughing asking me if the Midnight Munchie Monster got to me. I was like I don’t know what it is called but get rid of it now please look to her. Mom opened the magical food box and got me an apple. She couldn’t slice that thing up fast enough!
She finally gave it to me and it was like heaven! I could finally hear the Midnight Munchie Monster waving good bye and thanks for the food little man. That was a close call! It’s never hit me like that before. And you know what. I don’t want it to hit me again like that! From now on, mom is going to have to make sure I get a bigger bedtime snack to keep the monsters away!
Have you ever been visited by the Midnight Munchie Monster? Please share. Tell me it doesn’t only visit the Hotel Thompson. It has to make other house calls besides ours.
XOXO – Bacon

It’s happened. Shivers – our house is haunted and this time it’s not me running around with a sheet over my head oinking BOO.
It was bound to happen. We watch way too many ghost shows here at the Hotel Thompson. I know that’s how they found us. It had to be. I know you don’t believe this little pig so let me tell you what happened. Then, you can decide my friends. And, yes it was scary. I’m not saying anyone was more scared than the other but I saw daddy shaking a little. But, you didn’t hear that from me, okay pig winks.

Monday night, we are all in the front room watching television. Believe it or not, it wasn’t anything ghost related. We were actually watching b-rated horror movies on the SyFy channel… something about dinosaurs vs. crocosaurus – it’s beside the point.
We were all accounted for in the living room. Mouse Girl was sitting on the sofa with daddy. Me and Hemi were on the couch with mom. All of a sudden, we heard a pet toy squeak. Not once. Not twice. But THREE times. Out of the blue. We don’t even know where it came from. In fact, we don’t even have ‘squeaky’ toys in the house because someone… not mentioning names looking around all innocently… pulled all the squeakies out of the toys that we had. I really don’t know anything about that – maybe that was ghost related as well?
You talk about dead silence when that squeaking happened. You could have heard a tiny little mouse fart! We all just looked at each. I looked at Hemi. Hemi looked at Mouse Girl. Mouse Girl looked at daddy. Daddy looked at mom. Finally, mom said, “What in the heck was that?”
There was no explanation. We were all mystified and a little hesitant to turn the lights off and go to bed that night. I think mom even kept on the hallway night light.
So, there you go. I’m letting you decide. We have spooks at the Hotel Thompson. Who are we going to call and more importantly who is going to help?!

Yay – hump day is here! I can almost see me sleeping on the weekend. Oh, that’s my bad – I see my friend Tiny the elephant sleeping 🙂 PLOL (Pig Laughing out Loud).
Do you remember that old show called Name that Tune? Me and mom/dad are working on a new game show that we are going to feature here on my blog sometime soon in the very near future. It’s going to be hilariously fun!! Start brushing up on your commercials now my friends. Snorts – as my friend Speedy says at http://www.speedyhousebunny.com/ , sometimes I have way too much time on my hooves 🙂

Bashful – the rolling stone!

Hello my friends! Today’s posting will conclude my fun adventure that I had at Wally World, otherwise known as Wal-Mart. I hope I have expressed how much fun it was! I do hope that you have had a good laugh at my field trip and my experiences. But don’t worry, although my adventure with Wally World… AKA Fun Land USA… is over, my field trips are not done. I am going out more to explore and will post about those trips soon.
Today, we concentrate on education. I really tried hard to broaden my knowledge while at Fun Land USA.

I started first in the book section. Those Dr Seus books are wonderful! Did you know that daddy can almost recite the entire book of Green Eggs and Ham by heart? He loves that one just about as much as I do. You can see me in this picture next to the books reading. I stayed there for as long as mom/dad would let me. They were looking at their books and I was looking at my age appropriate books. It was all good.

Then we moved on to exciting and wondrous things… the electronic department! I was trying so very hard to get mom/dad to buy me my very own iPad. They said I was too young and had to share with Bacon still. Stomps pebbles – but I wanna my own iPad. Darn it all. I love playing on Bacon’s. It’s a lot easier to type, if you know what I mean. Maybe one day when I become a policerock and make my own money, I can get one.

With all of this shopping, I got hungry. I might have strayed off by myself. Mom/dad got scared because they couldn’t find me. They said next time, I have to wear my leash – darn shucks.
I’m not sure why they were so scared, they did eventually find me. I was in the frozen food section licking the strawberry pie box. Tasty – 🙂 Now I know why Bacon loves strawberries. Of course, I tasted it so mom/dad had to buy the pie. They weren’t fussing too much cause they said they were hungry too. It was delicious!
Well, that’s it for today’s field trip. I hope you enjoyed it my friends!

A while back, I got interviewed. Can you believe that?! Me, a mere piggy got interviewed! I was so excited. I got my tail crossed and wrote down the wrong date on my calendar. Darn these hooves! They do get in the way at times when I’m typing. My apologies to my good friend Christina.

You must run right over to http://peacelovenwhiskers.com/2013/04/26/pets-that-blog-meet-bacon/ and check it out. I think they did a fantastic job and there’s also pictures of me. 🙂
Let me know what you think my friends. Again, thank you so much to my friend Christina for taking the time to make me feel like a movie star and interviewing me.

Dear Bacon,
Just chilling here in the jungle having my snack of bamboo. It’s so bright here in my life that I have to wear shades. Do you wear shades? Signed Care Bear
Dear Care Bear,
You know you do look awfully cool wearing those shades. I’m going to have to see if mom can find me a pair for me to sport around.

Dear Bacon,
Hello man. This is the picture from my pet annual that my mom got me this year from dog school. Do I look like I’m a chilling here in this picture? Because, I was like the happening pooch this year. Signed Uptown
Dear Uptown,
I like the look. I could so easily see it catching on here in the neighborhood. You ought to give P-Diddy a run for his money and come out with your own clothing line. I bet it would be hot!

Dear Bacon,
Do these glasses make me all Sally Jessy Raphael or do they give me a classical smart look? Signed Princess Tink Tink
Dear Princess Tink Tink,
Well, honestly they do remind me of Ms. Raphael. But, on the other hand they have a little more pink in them than hers that have more red. I think you look classical with a touch of smart emphasis. Vogue baby and wear those specs!

Dear Bacon,
Hey little dude. I’m from Hollywood and my owner walks me around all of the time with him everywhere we go. A lot of people will walk up to me and tell my human that I remind them of someone but they can’t quite put their finger on it. I’m not sure who in the world it would be. Signed Spike
Dear Spike,
I’m not really sure. I think you are working the outfit though. And hey, I’m sure you fit right in at the Hollywood hills. Just keep enjoying the attention my friend.
Dear Bacon,
Sometimes at the zoo when people aren’t looking, we can let our hair down and be ourselves. Visitors don’t get to see the real ‘us’. If they did, can you image what they would think? Signed Ceasar
Dear Ceasar,
I think it would be hoot if I went to the zoo and got to see the ‘real’ ya’ll. It would be hilarious. I bet you would have more people coming back to the zoo for visits. I think you need to see if you can get the rules at the zoo changed.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States. On this day, which occurs every year on the last Monday of May, we remember the men and women who have died while serving our country.
Many people on this day will visit cemeteries and memorials placing an American flag at graves to honor our fallen heros. Let’s remember that appreciation is not only one day out of the year – it’s year round.
Thank you to all of those who have died while serving our great country! I think this picture says it all.

You know I’ve been following Bashful’s field trip experiences at Wally World and saw how much he liked Dr. Seus. I’ve been reading him some of the books at night. Last night after I proofed his blog for today, I did a little research on some Dr. Seus sayings. He really does say it the best my friends!
